Our mission is to increase the number of women in the UK (& beyond) involved in tech industries such as: web, mobile, programming, design, UX & UI. We especially want to inspire women to start businesses, get better jobs, increase their skills & not feel isolated!
Web Heroines grows by the day. We are currently a co-operative and are made up of 3 core members 6 volunteers and over 300 supporters worldwide.
Keri Lambden -Senior Member - Founder
Keri is our very own Wonder Woman. She wears many hats including designer, social media co-ordinator and researcher. Keri loves running the show and is currently Creative Director at Wintercorn, a specialist Open Source digital design agency based in Norwich. Keri spent a couple of years after college travelling then got busy doing a degree at NUCA (Norwich University College of the Arts) graduating in 2006 with a First degree in Visual Studies. During her degree Keri set up a dance productions company creating dance events which were filmed and made into educational materials for schools.
Liz Norman (nee Bishop)- Senior Member - Media co-ordinator
Liz is an experienced photographer, consultant and teacher. Running her own successful photography company. Liz is an advocate for women in business, balancing her family and work life miraculously. Liz has co-ordinated digital media for several events including major events in London and the South.
Marcus Stafford - Senior Member - Treasurer
Marcus is our mans point of view and brings a healthy balance to the team. Marcus has worked in technology since the early 80's in a diversity of roles from sales, support, systems analysis and executive search for start-up companies in the dot.com boom. He has gained a deep understanding of the needs of business and the impact of technology from designing and implementing sophisticated IT systems in both start-ups and established firms.
Marcus has recruited senior managers for some of the best known names in the technology world at director and CEO level as well as founding and selling his own executive recruitment business.
Claire Smith- Volunteer
Claire joined the army in 1996 as a Biomedical Scientist before moving on to build websites freelance in 2010. Claire was diagnosed with MS in January 2010 but this hasn't stopped her achieving great things. We're very lucky to have her as a volunteer and consultant.
