Future of Women in Design & Technology A smashing evening event for women who love design, web, mobile, graphics and tech. Meet and chat with other women in the industry and join in the panel debate discussing the issues and successes of women in design, business and technology today and in the future. Recent reports suggest women make up only 12% of the UK design/tech workforce and that less and less are choosing design/tech as a career. Is this true? In this exciting time for digital what projects are women working on? And how did they make their ideas happen. Our super panel guests:
Keri Lambden, Keri is the Founder of Web Heroines and is this evenings panel debate Chair. As well as running a web design business and flourishing freelance design career. She's the driving force behind Web Heroines including the super vintage brand identity. Sarah Parmenter, Sarah specialises in User Interface Design for iOS devices and the web, she regularly makes contributions to online web design related websites and written features to various magazines. Sarah McVittie, The Times recently called Sarah one of the UK’s “top rising female entrepreneurs”, and she was named by Management Today magazine as one of the top 35 female entrepreneurs under the age of 35. Julie Howell, a strong advocate for diversity and equality Julie has won numerous awards for her work in digital and has worked for clients such as RNIB, BBC and the Cabinet office. Jess Ratcliffe, Jess went on to start GaBoom when she was 19 years old and in her first year of University. Since starting GaBoom, Jess has appeared on BBC Dragons’ Den and left University to focus on GaBoom full-time
